Sugar Hill Children’s Museum of Art and Storytelling Is Nation’s Top Recipient of 2012 ArtPlace Grants

(CHICAGO, IL, June 12, 2012) A reinvention of children’s museums that spills out in to the streets of the city has been named the top-ranked recipient of ArtPlace awards in 2012.

The Sugar Hill Children’s Museum of Art & Storytelling in New York will receive a $350,000 grant to design and prototype exhibits for the future museum, a project of Broadway Housing Communities. The museum digital experience will be designed by Local Projects, the New York based media design firm and will focus on inter-generational storytelling and art-making activities…
